Stamhuis develops the Belgian newsagent concepts operated by Ubiway. By separating the building shell from the fixtures, we have made Press Shop, Relay and Hubiz stores modular and adaptable. Fixtures can be exchanged between formats because the stores use the same components.
A 3D-based working method
Using the same types of shelving not only makes the stores easier to optimise and adapt, but also allows us to build faster and more cost-effectively. Ubiway's store concepts are delivered using the Stamhuis Total Concept. This means consistently applying our 3D working method and connecting the relevant data. We aim to maximise prefabrication by preassembling shelving at our warehouse in Aarschot, Belgium.
Automation
Stamhuis takes full control of planning and costs. Our aim is to automate estimating, preparation and production as far as possible. Combined with thorough preparation, this results in high-quality stores.
About Ubiway Retail
Ubiway Retail is the company behind four strong press, retail and convenience chains: Press Shop, Relay, Hubiz and Hello! Its 220 outlets are run by independent operators at strategic locations: airports, metro and railway stations (30%), major shopping streets (50%), and shopping centres, international institutions, office buildings and hospitals (20%).
